With a new term and academic year fast approaching, now is a great time to review your preparedness for lecture capture with Panopto!
Checks for keeping Panopto in tip top shape
This summer saw an update to the software remote recorder to version 12.0.5 - please check your existing software remote recorders and perform the update if needed. This update can be downloaded from the Replay Help portal.
Once you’ve updated your remote recorders, we recommend running a test recording to check the audio quality of your AV system - good, clear audio is essential for automatic caption generation. If you’re having audio issues, please reach out for guidance and if necessary, the AV Support Service is available to support further.
We also recommend performing a quick audit of your stored content, deleting any old or unnecessary test recordings.
Training opportunities
If you have new starters joining your team that need training on the Panopto platform our First Steps and Next Steps with Panopto training courses are available and taking bookings for Wednesday 29 October and Wednesday 12 November.
