Free talks about user experience (UX)

Digital Accessibility ensures that our websites, digital products and services work for everyone including those with differing needs or use assistive technologies such as screen readers. It isn’t about meeting minimum legal requirements or fixing problems after launch, it’s about making sure people can actually complete their tasks from the start.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day

The User Experience (UX) team will be delivering a series of lightning talks to mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day next Thursday, 21 May 2026. Talks will cover a range of topics including themes such as:

  • digital accessibility basics
  • SharePoint content accessibility
  • common accessibility mistakes
  • legal guidelines
  • technical aspects of assistive technology
  • quick accessibility tests
  • captioning options
  • exploring web navigation for users with disabilities using screen readers, voice control, and single-button switches
